TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES OF LOWER ITCHEN FISHERY LTD - ("THE COMPANY")

Rods are responsible for showing these rules to their guests. In the event that any rod or guest of a rod breaks these rules the Company reserves the right to immediately terminate their agreement and no refund of rod fees will be made.

Winter Coarse Fishing Syndicate

  1. Season: Tuesday 13th October 2026 to Sunday 14th March 2027.
  2. days MUST be booked in advance by contacting Lyndsey Farmiloe, or by
    ringing Fishpal and explaining you have a syndicate rod with us.
  3. A syndicate member is allowed a maximum of 16; 12 or 10 days fishing during the season, depending on which package you have opted for.
  4. If a date is booked and you do not turn up and have not given a minimum of 3 day’s notice the day will count as one of your allowance days.
  5. Strictly no admittance to the fishery before 8 a.m. Fishing shall cease at dusk.
  6. The fishing to be carried out only on the beats from “Top Beat Boundary” to
    “Howard’s Run” and from "Ward’s Pool” downwards on the main river and sections of the THREE carriers, all as highlighted on the attached plan. Anyone found coarse fishing on the trout beats will be asked to leave the fishery immediately, with no refund of monies paid.
  7. No person may sub-let his rod.
  8. You may fish with one rod only at any one time.
  9. No spinning , lures, livebaiting, wobbling etc is not allowed.
  10. Pike fishing is restricted to static dead baits only.
  11. Worms, brandlings, shrimp and prawns must not be used at any time.
  12. No keep nets unless by prior arrangement with the Fishery.
  13. Landing nets are to be used. Upon arrival please dip net in the butt located under the motorway to prevent the spread of disease. The use of un-hooking mats is preferred.
  14. Fish to be recovered before returning.
  15. No fish to be killed. Should anyone be found to be killing fish they will be asked to leave the fishery immediately, with no refund of monies paid.
  16. All catches to be recorded and a return made to the company by the end of March 2027, at info@itchen-fishing.net
  17. No Wading.
  18. No rubbish, litter, line or bait to be left on the riverbank.
  19. Environment Agency By-Laws to be strictly observed at all times.
  20. All rods must hold a current Environment Agency rod licence.
  21. No dogs allowed.
  22. PLEASE keep to the banks of the top carriers and do not walk across the meadows as this land is not owned by the fishery.
  23. The Company cannot be held responsible for any fishing tackle or other property left at the fishery. Cars, with their contents, taken on the fishery are entirely at owners risk and responsibility.
  24. All beat holders and guests enter upon the river banks, staging, sluices, bridges roadways, buildings and all parts of the property of the Company and fishery entirely at their own risk.
  25. Gates on the fishery should be left open or closed as found.
  26. 10mph speed limit on the fishery's roads. There is a height restriction of 8' 2" (2.45m) under the Motorway bridge.
  27. The Company will not be held responsible, and in line with general practice, cannot give refunds for fishing for any matters affecting the fishing for circumstances entirely beyond its control including being spoilt by inclement weather or poor water conditions.
  28. Normal winter maintenance and improvement works will be carried out during this period. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

IN THE EVENT THAT ANY ROD OR GUEST OF A ROD BREAKS THESE RULES THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE HIS AGREEMENT AND NO REFUND OF ROD FEES WILL BE MADE.
